Javier Dunn’s “Couple of Drinks” – from his upcoming album, Trails – is about a man too drunk to realize the girl he’s flirting with at a party isn’t reciprocating his feelings. The slow, almost depressing feel of the song creates the right atmosphere for this subject. Javier’s enticing voice really helps sell it, especially at the repetitive “so far, so good, I’m talking to you” section.
